News Item: 07/21/09 Chipshot Cafe'
What a fabulous night at the Chipshot Cafe', Tuesday night July, 21st 2009.
We were blessed with a great audience and some fantastic artists.
This night (Featuring Singer Songwriters, and as someone said some of the best talent in Maryland)
The night started with: Bob Frank
Bob played some of his original music. A great collection of songs seemingly drawn from his life and life experience.
Then, Jenn Minor graced us with some of her original music. Jenn has been most recently out playing at The Pickled Herring in North East and The Beachcomber in Charlestown. Jenn left some CD's for sale at the Chipshot Cafe' if you were wondering were to get one. You can also keep up with her through her web site:

It was then time for one of the night’s biggest surprises:
A duo from Bel Air, MD named "Sponsored by Poverty" As it says on their web site: Sponsored by Poverty is a two man comedy band from Bel Air, Maryland. Consisting of Brandon Pfeltz and Mike Perrie, they've been making comedy music since 2005. Both men play guitar and sing, and all songs are a joined collaboration of music and lyrics.

www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=918824Jack Fox (The event organizer) then played some of his original music "It sure is great to play some of my original music every once in a while" and had a wonderful time doing it.
Next came Aaron Alberti (From: "The Jesters" and the "Muddy River Blues Band") Aaron did rewrites of some all time rock classics and performed them on his electric piano
Larry Williams the lead guitar player and vocalist for (Beerdz Hill Rode) came up next to perform a couple of songs including his great song (Where I'm Bound"). Larry as always did a great job even though he forgot his guitar and had to play a guitar he wasn't used to.
We made a valiant attempt to get Bill Libkey and Mike from (Baltimore Guitarist Group) to get up and perform but they didn't bring guitars and chose to bow out this time.
As the night started dwindling down Jenn & Aaron played a couple of cover songs together then Jack and Bob Frank joined in to finish off the night.
From everyone who came and we had a chance to speak too; this night was a huge success!
